As students ourselves, we know how tough it can be to choose the right study. When we started exploring our options in our last year of high school, we realized just how confusing and overwhelming the process can be. That’s why, when it was time to pick a PWS topic, we saw it as the perfect opportunity to help others and ourselves figure out study choice.
To make Choicely as helpful as possible, we talked to students, parents, teachers, and advisors to learn more about how people make study decisions. We also conducted surveys and carefully analyzed existing websites to understand what works, what doesn’t, and how students experience the process.
All of this research helped us design a website that’s clear, approachable, and supportive. Choicely makes exploring study options less overwhelming and helps students make choices they can feel confident about.
Our mission with Choicely is to make the study choice process easier, clearer, and less stressful for everyone. Whether you’re a student trying to find your path, a parent supporting your child, or an advisor helping students navigate their next steps after high school, we want to guide students toward informed, confident decisions.
We hope students feel confident about their choices, discover what they truly enjoy, and make decisions that truly fit them.
We are Emma de Witt and Nina de Witt, students at Sint Nicolaas in 6 VWO. For our PWS, we decided to create Choicely, a website designed to help students who are struggling with choosing their studies. We wanted to make something practical that truly supports others in finding their path and making confident choices for their future.
Hi, I’m Emma, a 6 VWO student who loves creativity and design. I transformed our research into something visual and practical because I believe good design makes information easy to understand and fun to explore.
Hi, I’m Nina! I’m a 6 VWO student who loves learning about what motivates people to make choices. I enjoy research and analyzing how students decide their next steps, and through this project, I hope to help others find a study that truly fits them.
